Memorial Weekend
Cooper's Field Trip
On Thursday, May 21st Cooper, Brooklyn, and I went on the third grade field trip. (Dad even joined us for lunch.) It was a lot of fun.
First, we went to Eli Anderson's and seen his wagons. This was very interesting.
Next, we went to Pizza Plus. They showed the kids how pizzas are made and then we ate lunch there.
After that, we went to the bowling alley. It was fun, but we had a lane that wasn't working very good. Cooper won the game, though. (Good job, Coop!)
Preschool Graduation
Brooklyn had preschool graduation on May 14th and 15th. (The morning class was on the 14th and the afternoon class was on the 15th.) She sang all of her songs so well. I am so proud of you Brooklyn! She was a very good helper all year.
Brookyln has learned so much this year. She is very, very good at rhyming. She knows all of her letters-upper and lower case-and their sounds. She knows all the colors and shapes. She can make patterns. She can sing the alphabet song. She has started reading Bob Books. She can write her name.
I appreciate everyone who helped me get ready for graduation. Also, thanks Grandpa and Grandma Estep, Grandpa and Grandma Berry, and Grandpa and Grandma Christensen for coming to Brooklyn's graduation. She was so excited that you came!
Planting the Garden
We finally finished planting our garden last weekend. (We waited to plant the tomatoes so they wouldn't freeze.) This year we are growing strawberries, tomatoes, potatoes, peas, radishes, cabbage, pumpkins, and onions.
If you notice that Taylor is in her pajamas in some of the pictures, we planted the pumpkins pretty late in the evening.
